1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make platforms work efficiently and to provide information to the platform operator.

2. How the Company Uses Cookies

The EduEagle Platform uses cookies strictly for functional purposes. The Company does not use cookies for advertising, behavioural profiling, or cross-site tracking.

2.1 Session Authentication Cookies

The Company uses session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. These are managed via the js-cookie library and contain your JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication token. Without these cookies, you cannot remain logged in to the Platform.

• Cookie name: auth_token (or equivalent session identifier)
• Purpose: Authentication and session management
• Duration: Session cookie — deleted when the browser is closed, or on logout
• Type: Strictly Necessary — cannot be disabled without breaking Platform functionality

2.2 UI Preference Cookies / Local State

Certain UI preferences (sidebar state, active theme) may be stored in browser local storage via Zustand. These are not transmitted to the Company's servers and do not contain personal data.

3. Third-Party Cookies

The EduEagle Platform does not embed third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics services that set their own cookies. The only third-party technology that may interact with your browser is Firebase (for push notification registration), which operates via a service worker — not a cookie — and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookie Management

You can control cookies through your browser settings. To disable or delete cookies:

• Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
• Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
• Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Please note that disabling session authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Platform.

5. Changes to This Policy

The Company may update this Cookie Policy as the Platform evolves. Any material changes will be communicated via the Platform or by email.
